The business climate in Northwest Alberta is as fertile as its soils.

Half of our population is in the age range of 20-54, the average age being just under 24.

The REDI region is one of the fastest growing regions in the province with an unemployment rate well below the national average, and like the rest of Alberta, it has an impressive 11.1 per cent cost advantage over the U.S.

Over half of the province of Alberta, or 350,000 km², is covered by forests. Of the total forest area, 216,000, km² are classified as commercially-productive forest land, containing both hardwood and softwood species.
