The Place to do Business

The business climate in Northwest Alberta is as fertile as its soils.

Half of our population is in the age range of 20-54, the average age being just under 24.

The REDI region is one of the fastest growing regions in the province with an unemployment rate well below the national average, and like the rest of Alberta, it has an impressive 11.1 per cent cost advantage over the U.S.

This is the place to do business. Resource rich Northwest Alberta offers direct and indirect employment through its primary economic drivers:

  • Agriculture
  • Forestry
  • Oil and gas

A wealth of business and community services augment the core sectors to buoy the economics across the district.
